Five Diverse Artists are Featured
in MetalUrges’s New Exhibit, Nov. 13-Dec. 24
The colorful, imaginative dolls of Wendy Avner welcome you to MiRTH!, a new exhibit at MetalUrges Art Gallery from Nov. 13 through Dec. 24th. Step into the gallery and savor the richness created by Trisha Hassler in wall hangings mixing textile, metal, and glass for works packed with detail and dimension.
Move on to offbeat, thought-provoking wire sculptures by Anthony Redelsperger and found objects assembled into fun, quirky characters by Susan Schenk. Then take in Mandy Allen’s new iodized metal hangings (like mobiles for your walls) and her wearable treasures – stylish, brightly colored metal necklaces, earrings and bracelets. As always, you’ll find the free-spirited work of Susan Levine, from animal clocks to a new line of metal jewelry. Ah, so many reasons to be mirthful!
The public is welcome to attend the exhibit opening on Friday, November 13 from 5-8pm. MetalUrges Art Gallery is located at 3601 SE Division St. in Portland. Regular hours are Thursday through Saturday from noon-5pm. Call Susan Levine or Bill Murray at 503.230.0588 with questions or to make an appointment.
