Helps keep the neighborhood association board and membership informed about land use and transportation issues in Richmond, including both development within the neighborhood and city planning efforts that affect the neighborhood. The LUTSC also serves as a point of contact for neighbors seeking information about land use and development issues, and for developers and city bureaus communicating with the neighborhood association. 

Connect seniors and people with disabilities to resources that reduce the costs of living at home, improve home safety, and help them remain active and connected in the communities they call home. 

Empowers residents to adopt practical, environmentally responsible practices that improve neighborhood resilience, reduce environmental impacts, and strengthen community connections through education, collaboration, and local sustainable earth-based initiatives.  

Mission Statement
The proposed mission is to inspire and support neighbors in creating a healthier, more sustainable community by promoting resource conservation, climate resilience, waste reduction, active and zero-emissions transportation, local food systems, and environmental stewardship. The goal is to foster collaboration, share practical solutions, and encourage actions that benefit residents today while protecting the neighborhood for future generations.

Build Community by welcoming new members and connecting them to projects and positions that support our neighborhood. Ideally, interested board members could onboard potential volunteers. This committee would give guidance on how to contact people. 

The liaison between the RNA and the Community Garden/Sewallcrest Park is the point person to contact on issues at Sewallcrest Park and other outdoor spaces, such as Ivon St Park and Ivon Community Garden.  This position also coordinates the Ice Cream in the Park General Meeting and the Movie in the Park.

SE Uplift provides training, resources, and capacity-building support for the neighborhood associations. The SEUL Rep attends SE Uplift board meetings and represents the RNA.  The liaison reports back to the RNA on issues relevant to the RNA and programs/trainings being offered.  It helps for the Rep to be very familiar with the city’s NA program, and the historical background between the RNA and SEUL.

The Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association (HBBA) promotes businesses on SE Hawthorne Blvd from SE 12th to SE 60th Aves. Their mission is to develop and preserve the corridor as a desirable, prosperous, and livable community district to work, shop, and live through active community involvement.

The mission of the Sustainable Southeast Community Coalition (S2C2) is to obtain and provide resources to inner SE Portland by working collaboratively across boundaries and organizations. The Vision is for a non-profit community coalition that will allow fundraising for projects in the southeast district that promote sustainability, livability, safety, inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility, and the general well being of the community.

Shares the activities of Richmond Net, opportunities for others to participate or become members, and general emergency prep that Richmond neighbors should or could be doing at home.

PEMO addresses issues such as nuisance issues, community clean-ups, beautification projects, street lighting. The Problem Solver Network is an initiative to address community public realm issues across the city. PEMO brings together a diverse set of community stakeholders including: businesses and business district associations, neighborhood associations, non-profit and community organizations, and other stakeholders. By working together, the network addresses community challenges in a comprehensive, creative, and timely manner, while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

This position is the point person for the RNA relating to liquor licenses and GNAs.
