YES: Mixed/bulky waste (loose debris must be bagged), electronics (see below*), lumber, Styrofoam/stretch film (see below**), appliances w/out compressors, metal (remove all gas and oil from yard tools) reusable items for rummage sale (label if it “works”)
NO: Construction/remodeling/demolition/hazardous materials, air conditioners, fridges/freezers, paint, propane tanks (any size), fluorescent lights, concrete, sod, dirt, yard debris, curbside recyclables, oil-filled heaters
Enter from Cesar Chavez and the Greeters will direct you where to go. If you just want to visit the U-Price-It sales, enter from SE church driveway on 40th. NO ENTRY from 40th if you have a load of trash or recyclables.
>> Need Senior or disabled person pickup service? Contact richmondcleanup@gmail.com by May 13 to sign up. If you are over 70 or physically unable to bring items to the Spring Cleanup, we can pick up items from your house. This service is dependent on the number of truck crews we have, how many people sign up for this service, and what people want picked up. No large furniture or appliances and the truck crews have discretion to refuse to accept loads that are too large or heavy.
*ELECTRONICS: Computers and peripherals (monitors, printers, keyboards, cables, storage devices), TVs, stereos, microwaves, cell phones, gaming consoles, broken small appliances and misc electrical items (mark if they “Work,” then Community Warehouse will take working appliances; only nonworking items will be recycled). Green Century Recycling (GCR) will be handling our electronics recycling. Items GCR will accept at the event are listed on GCR ACCEPTED ITEMS LIST - Richmond Cleanup.
** STYROFOAM & STRETCH FILM: GCR will be handling this area. They will accept the following items which must be SORTED, CLEAN, and DRY, AND without tape, labels, cardboard, laminate, nails, glue, ink, paint or food residue. Mixed foam/film will NOT be accepted:
EPS (#6 Expanded Polystyrene) - GRADE B, e.g., styrofoam cups, takeout containers and egg cartons
HDPE/LDPE - stretchy plastic film, e.g., bubble wrap, plastic & ziploc bags, packaging air-pillows, plastic over-wrapping
U-PRICE IT rummage SALE on reusable items
Drop off reusable items for others to buy, they price-it
(this is not consignment sales)
NO items accepted after 12 noon
NO mattresses, couches, armchairs, chemicals, building materials, tools w gas or oil

Community Warehouse will be taking unsold items, such as household and kitchen items, good condition furniture, and things listed on their website

items collected:
Household batteries: rechargeable and lithium ion but NO cordless-tool batteries
Prescription meds (pet meds too). Take meds out of bottle and put in bags
CFL (compact fluorescent bulbs) but NO broken bulbs or fluorescent tubes
Sharps and epi-pens. Free sharps containers available
NO cleaning supplies, chemicals, automotive fluids
Get there early, they will close down when their bins are full, which could be by noon
