The 2024 RNA Board Election will be Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11, 6 – 8 pm at the entrance to Central Christian Church, 1844 SE Cesar Chavez Blvd.  There will be on-site voting AND people can also fill out print-at-home PDF ballots to drop off at the church.

At the RNA’s June 10, 7 - 9 pm, monthly in-person meeting, candidates will have an opportunity to give a short statement at the beginning of the meeting. People can hear the candidate statements and have time to vote before the end of balloting at 8pm. Candidate statements will also be posted to this website. People can also listen to the candidate statements via zoom and then drop off ballots 6 - 8 pm, Monday the 10th or Tuesday the 11th.

Eight seats are up for election, for 2-year terms. May 13 midnight is the deadline to announce candidacy, which can be done at the May 13 meeting or email to richmond.pdx.chair@gmail.com. Candidates will be listed on this website at this LINK with their candidate statements

By May 21, candidates can submit a candidate statement, up to 300 words, stating if they have ever been to a neighborhood association meeting, why they want to run for the board, and the issues that interest them. Click on a candidate’s name to read their Candidate Statement.

June 10-11, 6-8pm, Election Process

To be eligible to vote, you must be 18 or older and live, or own property or a business, in Richmond and consent to be a member of the RNA. Click this LINK for a map of Richmond.

We will have 2 ballot boxes, one for people voting onsite at the church and one for people just dropping off ballots.

Onsite voting:    For people who want to get their ballots and vote at the church, we will have a table with a registration form for people to give their name, address, consent to being a member of the RNA, and signature. They will get a numbered ballot that corresponds to the numbered lines on the registration form, and just drop their completed ballot in a ballot box.  The ballot monitors oversee the registration and voting process.

Print-at-home ballots:  Click this LINK for print-at-home ballot. They will also be sent out to the listserve as well. People must come and drop off their own ballots.

Before a ballot can be dropped in the ballot box, the ballot monitors will (1) confirm with each voter that the all sections of the ballot have been filled out, and (2) ask for the name of the person dropping off a ballot.
